How’s your computer stuff going?
“Its the last computer we’ll ever need to buy!”
I still remember having this conversation with my mom at a young age (won’t say EXACTLY how young…)
The computer was a Commodore 64. I had finally gotten in with the “cool kids” at school and I understood what uploading and downloading and absolutely EVERYONE was getting a home computer.
This computer was seriously the bomb. We’re talking max power and memory and a super sleek design that was going to last the ages. It was the cutting edge of home computing and I needed all 64KB of that RAM.
(insert nerd snort here…)
And I was SO convinced that this computer was going to last forever I told my mom it was the last computer we ever needed.
I remember how my “online” career really started with that purchase and how I just kept adjusting and growing, just like the technology.
My dad, I’m pretty sure, still thinks of me sitting in front of that Commodore 64 computer. Typing away. Occasionally swearing…
To this day, he still asks me “how is your computer stuff going?” 🙂 So cute – love you dad!!

Making an online business successful is as simple as the equation: great business idea + right audience = successful business. However, practically it’s a lot more complex than just that. The main complexity of this equation is figuring out who the right audience is. Just like algebra, the right audience is an unknown variable in this equation that you need to find out.
If you manage to attract your ideal clientele, you’re already on your way to making your online business a success. Unlike land-based businesses where only the people interested in your product will visit you, online businesses are spread all over the internet and reach everyone, including people who might be interested in your product as well as those who aren’t but are looking for a solution to their problem.
This is the area that you need to work on. Your strategy must be such that your message reaches the right audience. If you don’t develop a targeted marketing strategy, you’re only wasting your resources, time, and effort.
The key to making your online business a success is figuring out who your ideal clientele are and how you can attract them to your business.

Likewise, if you’re targeting the younger generation, Instagram and Facebook are the best places to be. Don’t invest in marketing your online business everywhere. Be smart and invest your resources thoughtfully, analyze which platforms your ideal client uses the most, and market your business there to improve the chances of them coming across your business.
Provide Quality Content Every time
If you manage to attract your target client once, don’t assume that you’ve hooked them for life. The day you stop offering them value and quality solutions is the day they’ll leave you. Therefore, you need to ensure that you provide them with high-quality content consistently. Never compromise on your content’s quality because your ideal client may find numerous options elsewhere that are willing to entertain them.
Offer the Best Customer Service
The most promising way to attract and retain your ideal client is to offer them an incredible experience when they deal with you and your business. The secret to a successful online business lies in customer service. Respond to their queries promptly and try to resolve their issues as soon as you possibly can. Go the extra mile for them if you need to, as this will show them that you care about them and not just their money.
Also, follow up with them. Doing so will strengthen your relationship with your ideal client. Not only will they return to you, but they will also refer your online business to others as well. Positive word of mouth is a precious commodity for any online business’s success, and the easiest way to equip yourself with it is by offering excellent customer service.
Targeting your ideal client and the success of your business goes hand in hand. If you manage to attract and retain your ideal client, it’ll bring in profits that’ll eventually make your online business successful.
