I’ll take my carrot cake on the green plate, please…

I can still remember how my fork looked as it poked through the top of the creamy white frosting, and down through the layers of speckled brown cake and more frosting. I can still smell the sweetness of the cream cheese frosting and the faint aroma of spices from that made-from-scratch carrot cake.

And…*Clink*

The tip of the fork hit the green plate, carving the perfect triangle shaped first bite of my birthday cake.

My favorite. And…since it was my birthday I got to have it on The Green Plate.

When I was growing up we had the traditional corningware plates – you know, the ones that are virtually indestructible. You could drop them when unloading the dishwasher and they just bounce off of the floor making a ton of racket but never actually breaking…  (not that I ever did that, ahem…)

We had this great stack of all of the nice white plates, same size, similar patterns… and then this one Green Plate.

Truth be told, I have no idea where it came from. And, it wasn’t actually the prettiest design ever for a plate – it was a bunch of green flowers that made absolutely no sense.

But, we only had one.

So it was super special.

Every weekend we would make pancakes and homemade syrup with my dad – and we would all fight over who got to use The Green Plate.

When I had it, I felt special and unique and there was something so comforting about getting to use that silly Green Plate.

Creating Special Moments

And this particular day, it was my birthday. So I got to have my favorite (carrot cake) on The Green Plate.

Truly a special moment for me – and I can still remember how amazing I felt on that day.

Well – today is actually my birthday. (No joke – for real!)

And I can’t help thinking about that special moment with The Green Plate and how I felt so comfortable and honored.

And that’s exactly how I feel about my guest expert for this episode. He is a long time friend, and someone that has always made me feel special and comfortable.

Plus, he’s super smart and an amazing business man.

Don’t miss this episode where we talk about messaging and content as it relates to creating offers that attract and sell, and how to monetize that content.

The Ultimate Attraction Marketing Formula

When do you call a marketing strategy successful? It’s when it manages to attract your target audience. And the key to attracting people to your business is to connect with them on the right level. This is what attraction marketing is all about, and we’re going to share the ultimate attraction marketing formula in this post.

Instead of telling people how your product or service can add value to their life, attraction marketing focuses on telling people how a particular product helped you. When your audience is able to resonate with you, they’ll feel more connected to you. Rather than giving your audience the impression that a problem is theirs alone, tell them how you share their concerns and how you managed to overcome them.

However, we’re living in an ever-changing digital era where no trend lasts too long. People’s interests change, their preferences change, and so do their choices. An attraction marketing formula that’s effective today may not be as effective tomorrow.

So, what does it take to work out the ultimate attraction marketing formula that manages to stand the test of time and rapidly changing digital trends? This is what we’re here to discuss today, so let’s get going.

Get to Know Your Audience Really Well

The first secret to a promising attraction marketing formula is getting to really know your audience. This doesn’t just mean that you need to know the age and demographics of your audience; rather, you need to know them in far more detail. More information about them can include information about their personalities, likes and preferences, desires, the challenges they face, and possible solutions that can help them. Once you know all of these factors, you’ll be able to create a highly targeted and specific story that your audience will be able to relate to and connect with almost immediately.

Choose the Right Platform

Not all platforms are equal when it comes to marketing your business, and a lot of businesses make the mistake of advertising themselves on every single platform because they’re looking for the most exposure.

What you need is to figure out which platform is the best for you and your business. If your business is more targeted towards professionals, LinkedIn will be an appropriate option. If you’re looking to reach the millennial generation, Instagram and Facebook should be your preferred marketing channels. The attraction marketing formula will only be effective if it’s attracting the right audience at the right time.

Tell an Authentic Story

Attracting traffic to your business depends on how much trust there is between you and your audience. Storytelling is a vital part of an effective attraction marketing formula. The more your audience trusts you, the more they’ll be inclined to do business with you. To build a relationship and trust with your audience, you need to tell them an authentic story that’s backed by genuine facts.

If you’re a network marketer, you can share your story of how your product helped you. If you’re a coach, you can share your success story. Firsthand experiences help build trust with your audience, which will eventually help your business grow.

Attraction Marketing Formula: Manage Your Timing like a Pro

Your timing counts. In fact, it’s an essential factor of a successful attraction marketing formula. Offering your audience the right solution at the right time will get you the proper response. Once you’ve got your audience fully engaged in your story, offer a solution that they can’t say no to. Hook them up to your story and convince them that your solution has helped you a great deal, and then, offer them a solution that they feel is tailor-made for them.

Don’t Lose Touch with Your Audience

After you’ve offered your customers a solution, don’t forget to follow up. This forms an important ingredient of a successful attraction marketing formula. Keep the engagement consistent. Reply to your customers’ queries, respond to their comments and feedback, and follow up with them to see how the solution you offered has helped them. Not only will it strengthen their bond with you, but it’ll also put you in their good books, and they’ll be automatically attracted to you in case a problem arises in the future that they think falls in your domain.

The concept of attraction marketing is pretty clear from its name. An attraction marketing formula is said to be successful and effective if it manages to attract the right audience at the right time. All you need is a story to tell that your target audience is able to connect and relate to. The better you’re at it, the more successful your marketing campaign is likely to be.
